Far Cry and Crysis developer Crytek has posted a job ad seeking a PlayStation 3 programmer.

When Crysis was unveiled it wowed onlookers with its real-world environments that pushed the envelope of video game graphics. The game was announced for PC only, but rumours emerged of the game's development on next-gen consoles.

A job ad placed by Crytek seeking a PlayStation 3 programmer with cross-platform code development experience has once again given life to said rumours. One of the listed responsibilities for the successful applicant is to "work on various aspects of porting to PS3 and creating solutions to get the utmost out of the PS3," hinting strongly at an existing game being moved to the PS3.

Crytek has recently gone on record as saying Crysis remains a PC exclusive, at least in its current form, but the advertisement does at least confirm some kind of next generation console development. Crytek is also known to be working on several different titles, so jumping to the conclusion that Crysis is coming to the PlayStation 3 is a little too zealous at this time.
