Reggie Fils-Aime has revealed that Nintendo is hard at work on a new racing title for the Wii.
Can cars run on Wii?Obviously out and about taking names in the run up to E3, Reggie, Nintendo's executive vice president of sales and marketing, made an appearance at the Nintendo World Store last Friday. During his visit he released that Nintendo is currently working on a new racing title for the Wii, and the game will be revealed at E3.
"We're going to show off a racing game at E3 where you use the core controller in a very different way," Fils-Aime told a crowd. "That will answer all the questions about how you'll play a racing game [with the Wii controller]."
What game Reggie is talking about is unknown, but that hasn't stopped internet forums igniting with speculation about the racer. The most popular rumour appears to be that the racer will be a new take on the classic Excitebike series, but a new Mario Kart game can't be out of the question. We'll have to wait and see.

What about Waverace?
Excitebike could be cool, but I still think Waverace would be natural for the Wii controller. Think about doing all those tricks by moving the controller around!

serious gamers
Nintendo needs a serious racing game. Nfs was good and shows that the controller can excel at racing games, shame the actual game is so unrealistic. Xbox has Test Drive Unlimited Wii needs something like that aswell.
