The highly anticipated Xbox 360 sequel is having final layers of polish applied.

Speaking to Xbox World 360 (reported by CVG), Gears of War lead designer Cliff Bleszinski has revealed development of Xbox 360 sequel Gears of War 2 is now at 85/90% complete.

"We're basically at the 85/90% polish stage right now, doing some last minute optimisations," said Bleszinski. "I boot the game up every morning and go through campaign mode, making sure it's all stitched together and batshit insane."

Thankfully, batshit insane is the best kind of insane. Gears of War 2 is scheduled for release on November 7, 2008.
