Rubbishes reports supposedly originating from Australian 360 that the Mass Effect Trilogy would be exclusive to Xbox 360.
BioWare's Mass Effect is one of the Xbox 360's most acclaimed RPGs, but when the developer was snapped up by EA the future of the planned trilogy was uncertain - would the trilogy end up on all formats or could MS secure some form of exclusivity?
Reports emerged yesterday that Microsoft had done just that, ensuring the entire trilogy would be released exclusively on Xbox 360, with XboxOZ360 quoting comments made by BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka to Australian 360 magazine.
Muzyka is supposed to have told the magazine that BioWare is committed "to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360".
However, it now seems this information is incorrect. A BioWare rep told GameDaily: "This site is incorrect; Ray did NOT make any such statement regarding any exclusivity plans for the Mass Effect trilogy."
So we're still no closer to knowing on which platforms Mass Effect 2 and 3 will be released.
