NCsoft and ArenaNet have announced War Machine as the winner of the Guild Wars Factions World Championship.
War Machine walked away with the $50,000 first prize on Saturday August 26, bringing War Machine's earnings in the last three months up to $75,000. The Idiot Savants of America also took home $25,000 as runners up.
The Guild Wars Factions World Championship saw the return of five guilds from the Guild Wars World Championship which took place in Taiwan earlier this year, plus a sixth guild which had qualified in an open-invitational.
It's now not long until the release of Guild Wars Nightfall, the next campaign in the Guild Wars series. In Nightfall players will fight to prevent an evil ruler from freeing her outcast god and bringing darkness to the continent of Elona. The game will be available in both a Standard and Collector's Edition from October 27.
