Hit Xbox and PC FPS is to escape once more, this time on 360 and PS3.
Ask any hardcore Xbox fan to name a list of top first-person shooters and The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay will appear pretty near the top. Rumours of a next-gen remake have been doing the rounds for a few months now, but today official confirmation has come from UK industry weekly MCV.
Original developer Starbreeze is said to be at the helm of the remake, with the game itself going by the title The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. Due on Xbox 360 and PS3, the new game will feature an extended single-player campaign, brand-new online multiplayer and a developer's commentary mode.
When Pro-G contacted Vivendi Games, an official source was unable to offer any more details, but confirmed that an announcement is coming soon.

There better be a PC version of htis otherwise I'll crack it because console gaming is no where near as immersive as PC gaming.
