Looking to match the quality of the 360 version
Some bad news for PS3 owners hoping for some improvements in the graphics department for upcoming shooter BioShock. Publisher 2K Games has confirmed to VideoGamer.com that it's concentrating on matching, not bettering the visuals seen in the Xbox 360 version.
At E3 last week 2K Games announced that the PS3 version would include exclusive DLC in the form of a series of 'Challenge Rooms', set outside the main BioShock story but within the Rapture underwater city.
It will also contain all of the patches and DLC enjoyed by Xbox 360 and PC owners so far, as well as a new super hard survivor difficulty.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com at E3, 2K Games senior producer Melissa Miller said that the game, which is being "optimised" by Dark Sector developer Digital Extremes, will look no different to the 360 version.
She said: "We're looking to match the quality of the original version. We want to make sure that the water is just as great, and I think you can see from the demonstration, that it looks no different from the 360 version."
Expect more news on the PS3 version of BioShock, which is expected this October, soon.

Didnt a developer on XPlay say that they went high res on a lot of the game taking advantage of blu ray in ways they couldnt before on the 360?

PS3 is inferior to Xbox 360. It is one hell of feat that it does better than 50% of Xbox 360 versions's frame rate.

Aw who cares about what version looks better its about the game itself so this is just food for fanboyism

I would like to see the PS3 used to it's Highest capabilitys. So if they could make the graphics superior to the 360's version that would be great but, I guess I can be glad that they are what seems like making Bioshock for the PS3 from the Ground up and not just porting it. So as long as the Graphics are up to 360 standards and not a inch below I guess I am cool with that.

This is kind of dumb. why not make it better is it to suit the fanboys or something. The PS3 is so much more powerful than the 360 they should include everthing they can.
