It should be out in March on PS3, so there's still a bit of a wait, plus the cost of a PS3 :( The other option will be to head down to the arcade.

£425 = CELL power, Region Free, BluRay, Online, Full Legacy of games & saves,7 Wireless motion controllers, 3D EyeToy, WiFI, Location Free, HDD, 1080p,
Games: VF5, MGS4, Res Evil5, GT5, RR7, Tekken 6, SoulCalibur 4, DMC4, FF13, Resistance:FOM, Heavenly Sword,Ratchet & Clank,Sega Rally Revolution, Assasins Creed, MotorStorm, GTA, PES, ICO 3, Unreal T 07, WipeOut x, FightNight 3, Army of Two, BurnOut 5, Lair, Naughty Dog next game, Way of the Samurai 3, Tenchu, Ninja Gaiden (you know it makes sense Itagaki san), Air Combat, Transformers, Gundam, Armored Core, TimeCrisis...etc.... vs Halo 3 and the double plus good coolness of J the Allard AKA Carpet skate man.
Kinda of tired of the monotony of PS3 criticism, I think it will kick ass (once aqain). xb360 with HD DVD is over £500?. Halo 3 is not worth paying £300 to play, for me . So apart from that, nothing excites me about the xb360.
Obviously will get Wii for Crimbo (xmass).
So all you seeds of the Master Gates, **** off and let me and the other 100 million people enjoy PS3 in the New Year.

Ok, so if you add the extra HD capability it costs over 500, but the PS3 alone costs that and I need to pay it to get a system that will play everything. Looking at your list of PS3 games, how many sequels are in that list? Get over yourself and realise that the PS3 is overpriced for the same old, same old that we're all playing today. Save youself the wasted cash, get the Wii and have some fun... after all that's what games are all about!

Not according to SEGA. That doesn't mean it won't happen, but for the moment it's only coming to the arcades and the PS3.

That list had maybe 4 NEW titles. w00... sequelesque ftwz0rz. Not to mention the technology is borrowed from other successful consoles. The "live" SUXAZZES controller and over-hyped CELL technology with forced Blue Ray thats not even close to standard yet. HD isnt yet either, but once the multi-format players come out - looks like all MS has to do is make an add-on for the 360.
While Sony and their BR will be stuck with one format. No wait, they will come out with a multi format too, saying they invented it... it will have two slots - maybe look like a toaster. Another successful design integrated in millions of households to this day. Lest you forget - - the industry will go for affordable. You feel elite with BR? So did the beanheads with Laser Disks.
btw, why get the Wii? Is it because it's more fun? Or are you finding a way to whet your appetite waiting for MGS5: Tossed Snake Salad to come out?

i've owned a xbox360 which i have to my little brother after i got the PS3. Both systems are good but Microsoft Have ripped us off, No High Def inbuilt, Small Hard Drive expensive and locked. even the wireless controller needs a batttery pack and a spcial charger.
PS3.
1. 60GB HD can be upgraded with any 3rd party Drive (cheapley) I currently have 160GB Seagate.
2. In built Blu-Ray ( may or may not become the format of choice but its there for now.
3. wireless controller with Battery inbuilt, standard Usb Charger cable (i have about 10+ of these cables)
4. Wifi in built (MS charge £60)
5. HDMI Inbuilt ( i mean these are next get HD gameing Machines Right? so why use analog connections?)
6. Full web browser (not only live market place)
7. Free playstation network membership ( not £5 a month like MS)
i'm sure there are many other things i could add.
in a nut shell PS3 even at £425 (what i paid) i better value for money than the Xbox360 unless you have a Low def tv and only want to play games and 20GB HD is big enough than get a 360.
But i thought the Next gen machines were more than a gameing thing,
They should allow us the watch high DEF, increase HD space, connect wirelessly, if one wishes install Yellow Dog linux etc etc. anyway its up each person how they spend there hard enrned cash, and so be it if they have been brain washed by microsoft to buy a 360 than they should.
