If life were an endless vacation, what would you do? Go fishing, collect shells or watch fireworks with friends? Build a snowman, exchange presents with family or decorate your house for the holidays? Take a trip to the city, go on a shopping spree or visit friends from all over the globe? In Animal Crossing: City Folk, life moves at a relaxed pace, but the world brims with endless possibilities.
• There's always something new to do. In the living, breathing world of Animal Crossing: City Folk, days and seasons pass in real time, so there's always something to discover. Catch fireflies in the summer, go trick-or-treating on Halloween or hunt for eggs on Bunny Day. If you're in the mood for something a little faster paced, take a bus to a new urban city area that's unique to Animal Crossing: City Folk. There you can catch a show at the theater or check out the sales at Gracie's boutique. But if you don't show your face back home for too long, your neighbors will miss you.
• Up to four people from your household can live and work together to build the perfect town. Design clothes and patterns, write letters and post messages on the bulletin board for each other, or invite up to three friends to visit your town using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. With the new WiiSpeak microphone, it's like you're all in the same room. The microphone sits atop the sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room to encourage a more inclusive experience.
• Get to know your neighbors. The heart of Animal Crossing: City Folk is building relationships with the animals in your town as well as with other players. Befriend your animal neighbors by exchanging letters, gifts and favors. Animals can also move from town to town, bringing their memories and stories from their old towns with them. And since animals are notoriously loose-lipped, they spill all the juicy details.
• Express your personal style. Customize your town, your house and yourself by collecting bugs, fish, fossils, art, furniture, clothes and accessories. You can also go to the salon in the city to change your hairstyle and get a Mii(TM) makeover. Plus, if you design clothes in the tailor's shop, animals will wear them and maybe even bring them to other towns.

I've been having a great time playing Wild World on my DS so I can't wait to buy this game. But is there a way I transfer from Wild World to City Folk? And what new stuff is there?

I think its really great that Nintendo finally got a way to talk to other people online, but a whole room microphone? Its completely impossible to put a noise cancelling feature on a whole room microphone. Wont it be annoying when everyone can hear everything in everybody elses houses at once? Headsets work great, they are tried and true. Not to mention cheaper. (Wiispeak will start at 30 dollars) Also, why didnt Nintendo use the DS microphone like that in Wild World? It just doesnt make sense. I know Nintendos focus is innovation, but when the innovative approach is worse than the existing version, why bother changing it around?

I think this is VERY disappointing! I have been playing the DS version for ages, and was looking forward to something NEW. What we have here is exactly the same game, but with a small extra area that you can catch the bus to.
I was hoping for more things to do in your own town. What about starting your own business, building new shops, constructing new transport like steam train tracks, building park areas with benches and play areas? The list is endless. And they have done NONE of these. I'll save my money and stick with the DS version.

To Barry Ward: It wouldn't be Animal Crossing if it had those kinds of things would it?

to Tigereye: Nintendo made Wii Speak like that so kids parents can monitor what is being said. I don't like it either, but it makes sense since Nintendo is such a family company. Parents wouldn't want their kids to hear..... certain things. This way, parents will not worry........

Wll, i seem intrested on the new features ACCF will have. If the people at nintendo did add all the the new possable features to City Folk, then ACCF would be the final game in the searis. And Nintendo is a multi-billion corperation operation in 6 of the 7 contents. And as any busness would want, they want to make as much money as possable. Thats why they didnt add the ideas of starting your own business, building new shops, parks, etc etc. They let out little by little to make as much money as possabe. Thats why they didnt add too much more to ACCF.

Do the four people in your town share one house or do you each have your own house? I really hope that you get your own house

Of course it would. You'd still have everything else in the game, but with extra things too. The thing is, Nintendo don't seem to be moving the series forward as much as they should be. If they just keep releasing the same game on each new platform, people are going to start getting bored- me for one.

Catching a bus to other places sounds similar to the original Game Cube version. Kapp'n would ferry you to an island if you had a GBA and link cable, or you could go by train to another town, if you had more than one memory card.
Are there going to be completely different collections of bugs and fish etc, or are they going to be almost identical to what we had before? I'd heard rumours that you could design some items of furniture, is that true?

Um, helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo? Could someone please answer my question?

to Square: From the looks of things....u all share a house... I think they shoulod hav made it so that u can play directly from ur DS so that u could hav more than 1 person play in a house at the same time....but they mite hav doen that, cuz there havnt been many specifics about the game....

Nintendo couldve done a lot better with ACCF. I think that if they had it so you could start your own bissines or go to new places becides the city more people would buy the game.

I can't wait to get this game. As a matter of fact, I am going to buy a Wii just to purchase this game. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!

I cant wait for this game to come out! And I think, from the looks of the trailers, that everyone gets their own house, and the basement is back. I've also heard that you can import villagers from the Gamecube version, and import your ACWW or AC character, complete with their full catalogue. I'll be the 1st on line to get this game!
=)
