Midway has confirmed reports that Mortal Kombat Armageddon will not be released on the Xbox in Europe.
Speaking to Pro-G this morning, Midway has confirmed that its upcoming Mortal Kombat current-gen swansong, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, is not being released in Europe for the Xbox. No reasons for the decision were given, but it seems the European press just assumed the title was heading to the Xbox, when in fact the game was never officially announced for release over here. This leaves European gamers with only the PlayStation 2 version to play with.
North America will receive both versions, and then there's also the series' 3D debut on the PSP in Mortal Kombat Unchained. A Wii version is also due in 2007.

It was never announced for the 360. I'm sure a Mortal Kombat game will arrive on the 360 eventually though.

For shame
Midway make precious few decent games, MK is one the damm fine ones they produce. Not releasing it on the Xbox in Europe is a slap in the face for Xbox owning European MK fans, but clear Midway dont care. We get stuck with crap like their other games that they do release in Europe ;) Utterly Infuriating
