Sequel to be a platform exclusive and set to ship worldwide in 2008.

Team Ninja has announced that the long-awaited sequel to Ninja Gaiden is to be released exclusively for Xbox 360 next year.
The news came in the early hours of this morning in Tokyo where Microsoft delivered its Xbox 360 Briefing 2007. Team NINJA's Tomonobu Itagaki took to the stage to pledge his support for the Xbox 360 and announced Ninja Gaiden 2.
The game will see players once again assuming the role of Ryu Hayabusa, a ninja hero on a quest to avenge his clan and prevent the destruction of the human race. The game looks to up the ante in terms of blood and gore with limbs and blood flying all over the screen.
The game is an Xbox 360 exclusive that will be published by Microsoft and is scheduled for release in 2008.
