Free update is scheduled for release in September.
Jeremy Chubb, producer at Criterion Games, has posted a host of new info on the official PlayStation Blog regarding the highly anticipated Burnout Paradise Bikes Pack (previously codename Davis).
The free update will include two new rides from the get go. Available from your nearest junkyard in Paradise City will be the FV1100 street bike and the Japanese Firehawk racing bike. These are just for starters, with additional bikes to be unlocked by playing though the bike-specific gameplay.
"... in addition to the bikes, we're adding night to the game," explained Chubb. "You'll see day cycle through to night and see the city change with it. Paradise City takes on a life of its own once the rush hour traffic thins out!
"During the day, you can play a variation of our Burning Routes challenges. Beat the target times on specific routes to complete "Burning Rides". The big change here is that these routes feature multiple checkpoints - they'll take you all over the city. At night, complete a different set of routes - the "Midnight Rides"."
The Bike Pack will also introduce an all-new dynamic weather system to Paradise City, plus 70 new bike-based challenges. 35 of these are timed, multi-part challenges.
Look out for more info on the free Bike Pack over the coming weeks.
