Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers can practice their turkey carving on some Necromorphs.
EA has announced that a free downloadable demo for its survival horror action game, Dead Space, will be available today on both Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network.
In the demo players will get to sample the game's unique combat which sees hero Isaac Clarke taking down the Necromorphs by removing their limbs using a variety of mining tools - a simple bullet to the head won't cut it.
The demo's well worth a look, although European PS3 gamers will need to wait until November 27 when the Euro PlayStation Store updates.

I've had it since release, it's a real treat of a game and was going to be my GOTY until Fallout 3 came out a week later.
One of Dead Space's greatest features is its new game plus, finish the game on easy, reload your data and complete the game again on easy but this time with much better gear and all your upgrades brought over from your last save. (Easy way to get the 'max out everything achievement/trophy, basically).
Change the difficulty and you're starting again from scratch which makes impossible mode... challenging, but doable :)
I hope the demo is a good one and encourages you to buy the full version.

Doesn't seem to be available yet on the marketplace :(

It's up, they've buried it under 'All Demos' rather than 'New Arrivals'. Search all games beginning with D and you should see it. (I'm referring to the 360 version).
