55 songs from the original game can be used in Rock Band 2 - several tracks will not be available for export.
Harmonix and MTV Games have announced the release of a free title update for Rock Band on Xbox 360 to make it possible for owners of the original Rock Band to export 55 tracks from the original game disc for play in the upcoming Rock Band 2.
The title update will add an "export disc" tab under the extras option in the Rock Band menus, allowing owners of the original Rock Band to expand their Rock Band 2 library to include 55 tracks from the original Rock Band track list for a fee of $4.99 (400 Microsoft Points).
The following Rock Band disc tracks will not be available for export into Rock Band 2: "Paranoid" as made famous by Black Sabbath, "Run to the Hills" as made famous by Iron Maiden, and "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. In addition, Tokio Hotel's "Through the Monsoon" from the European disc release of Rock Band will not be available for export into the future European release of Rock Band 2.
The title update is also required for all future downloadable content released for Rock Band.
Rock Band 2 is scheduled for release across North America later this month, as a timed exclusive for Xbox 360. No firm European release date has been announced.

And once again us PS3 owners feel like no video game developer gives a rat's ass about us from resigning us to 720p when 360 owners get 1080p and 2x anti-aliasing to not giving us what is expected to be awesome dlc for high profile games such as fallout 3 and now this. its great being a ps3 owner, oh and thanks samsung for saying blu-ray would be dead in a couple of years really helping my mental-state!!
